Julia started yoga approximately five years ago with her best friend, Laura. As gymnasts, most of the Asanas came to them naturally and we had a lot of fun discovering our abilities and flexibility in different ways. However, coming from the Western world where most of the time you feel like you are fast forwarding through life, they realized that there was something more to Yoga than just the Asanas.
With this feeling, their intention was born to learn more about Yoga. They wanted to understand the principles behind the Asanas, physically as well as emotionally, learn about the Yoga philosophy of life, dive into Ayurvedic concepts and eventually study and reflect certain personality traits.
All this, and even more, was offered by the Peaceful Warriors Team. Each day, Julia and Laura were like sponges absorbing the knowledge from highly professional and passionate teachers. Together with 25 beautiful souls, they enjoyed each second of the program. The group dynamic was incredible. It is rare to be in a group where caring for and encouraging each other is considered the highest priority.
Overall, it was an experience Julia will always be grateful for, and it warms her heart just thinking about it.
As a result of the training, Julia has integrated Yoga in her daily life and established a morning routine that is based on Ayurvedic principles which renders her full benefit – it makes her feel more energized, calm and ready to start the day. To never stop learning, she takes online classes or participates in yoga retreats.
Furthermore, Julia is bringing Yoga to her local village, where she teaches gymnastics. For her, it is important to offer Yoga to everyone – young and elderly, beginners and intermediates. For this reason, the Vinyasa and Hatha classes, that she offers, are designed especially for each groups’ needs.
